The following notice is provided in accordance with the Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 15 U.S.C. § 1691 et seq., and Regulation B promulgated thereunder.
Anti-Discrimination Notice
The Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act strictly prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of:
- Race
- Color
- Religion
- National Origin
- Sex
- Marital Status
- Age (provided the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract)
- Because all or part of the applicant's income derives from any public assistance program
- Because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act
Your Rights Under the ECOA
If your application for credit is denied, you have the right to be informed of the specific reasons for the denial within 30 days of your application if you request such information. You also have the right to be notified in writing of any adverse action taken on your credit application.
The Federal agency that administers compliance with this law concerning all creditors is the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), 1700 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20552.
How This Applies to CareFunding
CareFunding operates as an independent marketplace connector and does not itself make credit decisions. However, all participating network providers within our matching platform are required to comply fully with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and all other applicable federal and state fair lending laws.
If you believe a participating provider has discriminated against you in violation of the ECOA, you may file a complaint with the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov or by calling 1-855-411-CFPB (2372).
